Pearl Harbor
1. Go to National Geographic's Pearl Harbor website.
2. Click on the "Attack Map." Briefly describe in 2-3 sentences what you saw!
3. Read the "Memory Book" - stories of survivors. After you have read several entries, describe your favorite entry or the most touching entry in 2-3 sentences. Be sure to look at the pictures!
4. Click on "Beyond the Movie". Who did Cuba Gooding, Jr. play in the movie Pearl Harbor?
5. Go to the "Real Stories" link. Read the FAQ's about the bombing of Pear Harbor. After you have read as many as you'd like, write down the question that had the most shocking answer (your opinion).
6. Click on "History." Which U.S. Military ship had the most "hits"? On the top right hand corner, pull down "Pearl Harbor Timeline." Listen to President Roosevelt's Address to the Nation or Declaration of War.
