Fr. Tim

Rev. Timothy S. Kallaher was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1946. He was ordained by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in 1972. He earned a Masters Degree in Theology from the Athenaeum and a Masters Degree in Latin from Xavier University. His first assignment was as temporary chaplain at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio. He taught at Elder High School for five years and was an associate at Our Lady of Victory in Delhi. He taught for five years in the college seminary. In 1982 he became full-time associate at St. Albert the Great in Kettering, Ohio. He became pastor of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception in Dayton, Ohio in 1986. In 1998 he was appointed pastor of St. John's.

Mr. Harrmann

Mr. Richard Harrmann is in his Fourth year as principal at St. John's. Mr. Harrmann grew up close by, attending St. Ignatius for eight years and graduating from La Salle H.S. in 1968. He attended the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He earned his Masters degree in Administration from Xavier University in 1977. Mr. Harrmann taught, coached and was a school administrator for 31 years in four public schools throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. Prior to coming to St. John's Mr. Harrmann was the principal at St. Helen in Dayton for three years. Although he grew up on the West Side and realizes it is the "Best Side", Mr. Harrmann currently lives on the East Side with Patty, his wife of thirty seven years. They have been blessed with two children, Amy, who is married to her husband Brad, and Joe.

Mrs. Argus

Andrea Argus started at St. John's during the 1994/995 school year. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Purdue University. She and her husband Don, have a daughter and son. When she's not working, Andrea likes to golf,  scrapbook, knit, read, garden, do crossword puzzles and play games.

Mrs. Mollmann

Nora Mollmann has been working at St. John's since 1999. She was born in Toledo, Ohio and received a Bachelor of Science of Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. She has three children and has been married to her husband Dan for twenty-five years. Her children all graduated from St. John's. When she is not working, she likes to read, golf, go for long walks and spend time in Tennessee.

Mrs. Jacob

Donna Jacob is the Instructional Specialist at St. John's School. Her bachelor's degree is from Eastern Kentucky University, Masters from Xavier University in Early Childhood Education, Montessori and course work from University of Cincinnati, Miami University, Mount St. Joseph, Northern Kentucky University, and University of Hawaii and Mexico leading to the following certifications: K-12 Reading Specialist, Reading Administration, Gifted Education, Guidance & Counseling, and Elementary Education K-8.

Mrs. Chaifetz

Mrs. Lynn Chaifetz is beginning her tenth year at St. John's and is very happy to be here.  She has two grown daughters and one grandchild.  She received her bachelor degree in Psychology at Washington University and her Master's in Speech Therapy at the University of Cincinnati.  She has been a speech and language pathologist in a variety of settings for thirty years.  When she is not working she likes to be with her family, read, knit, watch old movies, and read.
Ms. Nunley

Ms. Nunley is beginning her second year at St. John’s as school psychologist. She is a native of Cincinnati and currently lives in Blanchester, Ohio. She completed her Ed. S at Marshall University in South Charleston, West Virginia in school psychology and has worked as a school psychologist in Arizona, Ohio, and West Virginia. She has three grown children and five grandchildren. She also loves art, reading, music, and yoga. 

Mrs. Hummel, RN

Mrs. Hummel, RN is beginning her eleventh year as a nurse in the school setting, her third at St. Johns. Previously she was the nurse at Colerain Elementary. Mrs. Hummel has many years of hospital nursing behind her as well. She received her Nursing degree from the University of  Cincinnati. She has three wonderful children - two sons and one daughter. She also has two daughters-in-law and one  wonderful grandson.  Mrs. Hummel enjoys being with her family, reading, gardening, and jazzercise.

Mrs. Kemble

Beth Kemble is the Intervention Specialist at St. John's. She grew up on the West side, attended Mercy High School and received her Elementary and Special Ed degrees from the University of Dayton. She received her Master’s in Special Education from U.C. Beth taught at Anderson High School for years then stayed home for five years with her children. She has four girls from ages four to thirteen. She most recently taught at St. Ignatius where she is a parishioner. Beth is involved with activities at St. I's and in her "spare" time likes to coach soccer, read, and shop.  

Mrs. Kahny

Mrs. Jenny Kahny graduated from McAuley High School and earned a Bachelor of Education degree from Miami University.  She previously taught first grade and seventh grade at St. John's and this will be her fifth year teaching Preschool. She is excited to be here at St. John the Baptist School.   In her free time, she is very active in her parish, St. James and she enjoys reading, playing indoor soccer, and spending time with her husband, Neil , and their four children.

Mrs. Borgman

Mrs. Vicki Borgman has taught kindergarten at St. John the Baptistl since the 1994/1995 school year. She has taught in Archdiocesan schools for over twenty years. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She has completed graduate work in Administration and Early Childhood Education at U.C. and Wright State University. Vicki and her husband, Gerry, are active parishioners at St. John's. Her children, Matthew and Meghan, are St. John alumni.

Mrs. Hayes

Mrs. Hayes has been teaching Kindergarten for nineteen years. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. She is a member of St. John's Parish with her husband Mike and they have three children Aaron, Daniel and Bethany. Her favorite things to do are to spend time with her family and sing.

Mrs. Schrader

Mrs. Lori Schrader has been teaching first grade for nine years, this is her eighth year at St. Johns. She attended the University of Cincinnati where she earned three degrees: BA in Communications, BS in Elementary Education, & MEd in Elementary Education. GO BEARCATS! She attended Catholic schools for her elementary and high school education. Mrs. Schrader has always been an educator in the Catholic Schools. She loves teaching at St. John, especially reading and writing to her first graders. Some of Mrs. Schrader's favorite things to do are spending time with  her husband Dave and playing with her pets. She has two dogs, Princess & Yaughtzi, and a guinea pig, Miss Piggy Pigglesworth. She loves taking Princess & Yaughtzi to the dog park. She also enjoys writing, working word and number puzzles, and reading books. Her favorite book is The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister.  She reads it every year to her first graders!

Mrs. Sellers

This is Mrs. Sellers' tenth year teaching and seventh year at St. John's. She grew up on the "West Side", and attended St. Martin of Tours Elementary School and Mother of Mercy High School. Mrs. Sellers graduated from the University of Dayton with her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, in 1999. In her spare time she enjoys playing sports, playing cards, cross-stitching, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Miss Matson

Miss Erin Matson, a third grade teacher, has been teaching at St. John the Baptist since the 2003/2004 school year.  She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Hanover College.  Erin received her Master's in Reading Education from Xavier University in the summer of 2008.  She also has a Reading Endorsement for grades K-12.  She coaches track at McAuley High School.  Miss Matson enjoys reading, running, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Rapien

Norma Rapien was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.   She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Degree from Edgecliff College, which is now part of Xavier University. She has been teaching second grade for twenty-five years, twenty-one of those years have been at St. John's.  She currently resides in Green Township with her husband Gary, and her three children. Teaching is her passion, and it is how she spends most of her time!  Other activities she enjoys include gardening, reading, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
     

Mrs. Zipperer

Pamela Zipperer has taught at  St. John's since the 1998/1999 school year. Her Education degree is from the University of Cincinnati. She and her family are also parish members. She is married to John and they have three sons. Zach and Christian attended St. John's K-8 and now Zach is a freshman at St. Louis University and Christian is a freshman at St. Xavier High School. Michael is only two but eagerly awaiting his turn to go to school! She and John enjoy watching their older son's sporting events and keeping Michael out of trouble.

Mrs. Shotwell

Elaine Shotwell received her undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. She obtained her master's degree with a certificate in Reading from Xavier University. She is in her 35th year of teaching all at St. John's School.   When she has time to relax, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, read, walk, and play Scrabble on the computer.

Mrs. Peters

Mrs. Shannon Peters, who teaches fourth grade, is currently in her nineteenth year of teaching and eighth year at St. John the Baptist.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education at Thomas More College and her Master of Arts in Education from Northern Kentucky University.  She is married to Dan and has two children.  She has always taught at Catholic schools, which demonstrates her commitment to Catholic education.  Her own children attend St. John which shows her commitment and confidence in our school.

Mrs. Schneider

Mrs. Brigid Schneider is in her twelfth year of teaching fifth grade at St. Johns.  She received her degree in Elementary Education from The University of Cincinnati. Mrs. Schneider and her husband Carl have been married for 24 years.  The have four children, Carl, Logan, Garrett and Brianna.  Mrs. Schneider is a resident of White Oak and a member of St. James Parish.  For relaxation, Mrs. Schneider likes to read, write, go to auctions and spend time with her family.

Mrs. Vest

This is Barb Vest's twentieth year at St. John's.  She graduated from Badin High School in Hamilton.  She received her BA in education from Miami University.  Mrs. Vest has a degree in special education and in elementary education.

Mrs. Schwalbach

Alison Schwalbach is a lifelong resident of Ft. Thomas, KY where she currently resides with her husband, Brian, and sons, Carson and Grayson.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky.  She obtained her degree in Elementary Education in 2000 from Xavier University. Last December, she completed her Masters in Education. She has been teaching at St. John the Baptist since the 2001/2002 school year.   In her free time, Alison enjoys taking her sons on walks, being outdoors, and reading a good book while drinking a cup of Starbucks coffee!  She also enjoys watching athletic events with family and friends, especially UK basketball!

Mrs. Ante

Mrs. Ceil Ante has been teaching at St. John's for twenty-three years. She attended St. John's grade school and McAuley High School. She received her BA in elementary education from the College of Mount St. Joseph. In her spare time she enjoys reading, flower gardening, and walking in the parks. She especially enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband, children and her five precious grandchildren.
     
     

Mrs. Haun

This is Donna Haun's sixteenth year at St. John's.  A lifelong resident of Cincinnati, she graduated from the University of Cincinnati with degrees in Dental Hygiene and, twenty years later, Education.  Mrs. Haun's favorite  activities include reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Schaefer

Ms. Jane Schaefer is beginning her fourth year at St. John's as the religion teacher for 6th - 8th grade and coordinator of religious education for school. She comes from Wisconsin where received her bachelor degree in Theology from Silver Lake College. She has worked for more than ten years as a coordinator of religious education. When she is not working she enjoys golfing, going for walks, and spiritual reading. 

Mrs. Smith (Science)

Mrs. Chris Smith is in her  22nd year of teaching, and her fifteenth year of teaching science to St. John's junior high students.  She graduated from McAuley High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Xavier University.   Mrs. Smith earned her Masters Degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. In her free time, she enjoys reading, boating, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Green

Mrs. Sharon Green, who currently teaches eighth grade, has been teaching for twenty-seven years with the last twenty-three years at St. John's. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, her home state.  She went on to get her Masters of Education from Xavier University.  She and her husband, Mike, have two boys - Chris, a student at Wittenberg University and Jeff,  a student at Wright State University.  In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, attending her boys sporting events and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Fay

This is Mrs. Fay's fifth year teaching Physical. Education and her first year at St. John's. She has earned Bachelor Degrees from the University of Cincinnati in Health Promotion and Education and Northern Kentucky University in Physical Education and Health. Mrs. Fay grew up on the West Side, attending St. William Elementary and Seton High School. She has been married to her husband Dan for seven years and they are expecting their first child at the end of the 2009/2010 school year. Mrs. Fay enjoys cheering on the Bearcats, playing volleyball, spending time with her family, and crafting and making jewelry.

Mrs. LaWarre

Mrs. Gale LaWarre is beginning her 33rd year as the St. John's School Librarian.  All four of her children attended and graduated from St. John's.   She thoroughly enjoys the time she spends each day with the children at St. John's.   In her spare time she loves reading, gardening, and walking.

Mrs. Donohue

Cathy Donohue has a BS and a Master’s Degree in Experimental Psychology.  She was a PhD candidate at the University of Kentucky until she received her first “mom” degree. During the past thirty years, she has taught Math in Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania, where she was also certified to teach Science and Social Studies. She has taught at Miami for the last ten years. She contributed to the “National Right to Read” program, published an article on computer learning, and piloted the University of Steubenville’s “Catholic Vision of Love” curriculum.  She holds an advanced certification as a Catechist in Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, and has worked to promote Life Issues by writing legislation, lobbying, and serving as President of Indiana Citizens for Life.  She thanks God everyday for His gift to her of family.

Mrs. Robbins

Mrs. Robbins has been teaching computer skills at St. John's since 1994. She received her training for Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FrontPage, and Publisher), NT Networking, Flash, Pinnacle Studio Plus, Internet, Digital Photography and Basic Computer Repairs through Comp USA computer training, Diamond Oaks, SOITA, and HCCA. Mrs. Robbins is married and has three children  and three grandchildren Her favorite pastimes are reading and spending time with her grandchildren The Robbins family have been members of St. John's Church since 1985.
     

Mrs. Smith (Art)

Art is food for the soul and Mrs. Smith’s passion is watching children make art! She is in her eighth year at St. John's as the art teacher and will be completing her Masters in Education this fall through Marygrove College. She also loves to birdwatch and hike, camp and read mysteries: she is now reading the "Enola Holmes" series. She seldom watches TV. She also loves to listen to her children talk to her! She inherently "thinks outside the box" so sometimes she is looking for that box (and sometimes not).

Mrs. Wolf

Mrs. MaryAnn Wolf attended Our Lady of Angels High School and the University of Cincinnati where she received an Associate Degree in Science.  She is married to Tom and has two children, Bryan and Jonathan, who are graduates of St. John's.  Currently Mrs. Wolf is working in the preschool classroom as an aide.    In her spare time she loves to garden, walk her dog, Jasper, and spend time with family and friends.

Mrs. Dreyer

Cathy Dreyer grew up in Huber Heights, Ohio. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.S. in Nursing. She was commissioned an officer in the The United States Army and was stationed in Berlin, Germany with she witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall. She is married to Phil and has three children: Amanda, Tyler and Sarah who attend St. John's. In her free time, she enjoys reading, logic puzzles, attending her children's athletic events and spending time with family and friends. 

Mr. Hasselbeck

This is Mr. Hasselbeck's third year as Maintenance Supervisor. He recently graduated from Miami University. He attended grade school here at St. John's and high school at La Salle. With the exception of one year, he has worked in the maintenance department every summer since he graduated from St. John' s.  In his spare time he likes to  work on cars and trucks, cut grass and fix things that are in need of repair.

     

Mrs. Hasselbeck

Mrs. Karen Hasselbeck is in her 20th year at St. John's Cafeteria (eleven of which she has been manager). She attended St. John's grade school and McAuley High School. She is married to Jerry and has 3 children Holly, Heather, & Brad who are graduates of St. John's. In her spare time she loves to cook, walk, read, garden, do word finds, and spend time with family and friends.

Mrs. Knipper

Mrs. Claire Knipper is in her sixteenth year at St. John's cafeteria (eleven years as assistant manager).  She attended St. John's, then graduated from Northwest High School.  She is married to Steve Knipper.  She has 2 sons, Brad and Kevin. In her spare time she likes to read, cook, walk, gardening, and do word searches.

Mrs. Bollin

Mrs. Lori Bollin grew up in St. John's parish.  She graduated from Xavier University with a BSBA in Marketing. This is her seventh year working in the cafeteria.  She and her husband Tim, have 3 girls.  Lindsey, is a senior at McAuley High School and is also a graduate of St. John's school.  Allie, is a freshman at McAuley and Anna, is a 5th grader at St. John's. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, playing golf, reading, attending her girls sporting events and going out with family and friends.
