What
is the PTO? PTO stands for Parent
Teacher Organization.
What is the
PTO’s mission? The mission of PTO is to
foster a spirit of cooperation and communication among all members of our
school community and to help develop a closer relationship between home and
school.
Why join the
PTO? Being a member of the PTO easily
keeps you in touch with your children’s activities during the school year. Your PTO membership dues enhance the
educational facilities and opportunities for the students that are not
otherwise provided for in the school budget.
Because of your membership and involvement we are able to keep valuable
programs available, such as Everybody Counts, Field Day, Catholic School Week,
School House Symphony, just to name a few.
Who
benefits? Our children!!! Plus, there are two SCHOLARSHIPS awarded to
the 8th grade students, one boy and one girl. The PTO scholarships are only awarded to
children of PTO members.
PTO
membership is $10.00 per family. With your
membership you will a receive membership card and a PTO handbook which includes
a school directory with the names, addresses, and phone numbers of all the
families at St. John’s Unified Area School.
Come and
join us as we travel through the new school year together!
